Ministering to Those in Need

One of our kids, who lives in the cottages at Christian City, just learned that he will be going on a mission trip to Mexico this summer through Southwest Christian Church. He is so excited about going and being able to minister to those in need. Christian City is so proud of him and what he has accomplished!

I Golf Fore Kids

“I Golf Fore Kids” allows you to enjoy the pure thrill of your favorite game, knowing that it’s all for a great cause! By participating you will help provide our children with their basic needs of shelter, food, clothing, medical care, and education. Now that’s a total Win-Win! That’s exactly what we have in store for you this March 29th at the lovely Braelinn Golf Club in Peachtree City. It’s a great course you will surely enjoy!

Come play! You can feel good by sponsoring the children while enjoying a spectacular day of golfing, food, and the fun you’ve come to expect at our classic. There will be trophies for winners, prizes, and special competitions.

The Children's Needs List

The Children’s Village at Christian City is in need of the following items and would appreciate any help the community can provide:

• Paper plates, napkins, cups
• Toilet tissue and paper towels
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Boxed macaroni and cheese
• Peanut butter
• Individually wrapped snacks and drinks
• Kid friendly Cereals
• Batteries
• Personal hygiene items for girls
• Gift cards to Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger, or Publix

Christian City has been caring for abandoned and abused children in a family centered residential setting since 1965. Over 1,000 children have called Christian City "home". Donate your Cell Phones

Do you have an old cell phone in your dresser drawer that’s collecting dust? Christian City and the Children’s Village are collecting cell phones, so get rid of all your old cell phones and put them to good use! You can donate all your used phones at the Christian City Welcome Center. If you have any questions about the program, please call 770-703-2636.

Graceland Thrift Store

Come donate your household items that you no longer use and get a tax benefit! Feel free to shop around when you’re there! Proceeds are used towards the children’s educational needs. Please call 770-969-9957 for more information. Store Hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:30am-2pm.

Graceland always needs the following items:
• Gently used clothes
• Computers, TV’s and other media devices in good working condition
• Furniture and household appliances
• Baby items

Free Southern Crescent Chorale Concert

The Southern Crescent Chorale is having a free concert benefiting the Children’s Village at Christian City on March 27th at 7:00 pm at Southwest Christian Church in East Point, GA, a love offering will be taken up. Please stop by and listen to these wonderful singers and support the abandoned and abused children who live in the cottages at Christian City.
